Bachelor thesis is about differences in morphology and physiology of poultry as affected by nutrition, with special focus on effects of nutritional additives. The thesis focuses mainly on a group of zootechnical additives. Description of these additives and their effect on poultry is discussed.
Probiotika ve výživě hospodářských zvířat

The thesis deals with probiotics in the nutrition for farm animals and their impact on the organism. The introductory part describes the digestive tract of cattle and pigs, their anatomy and physiology. The following section introduces other ways of how to improve the digestion of these animals. Then, after an overview of other possible ways of supporting the digestive processes, the probiotics and prebiotics are discussed from the viewpoint of their effect on the digestive tract. Probiotics are very important in the nutrition of animals, for they are microorganisms that have a positive effect on the general state of health (i.e immunity, the ability to convert nutrition, etc.). The last section gives an overview of the prices and dosages of a few selected probiotics used in farming.
Zootechnické aditivní látky a jejich možné využití

This bachelor thesis deals with the characterization and classification of additive substances for animal nutrition, in particular from the legislative point of view. Furthermore it focuses only on zootechnical additive substances, their distribution, description and the possibilities of their utilization in livestock feed, and mainly their use and affect on poultry. Also included are examples of poultry feed supplements containing these additives.
Food safety

In the diploma thesis I was dealing with the issue of food safety in the Czech Republic and labeling of meat products. In the practical part were carried out two surveys, public opinion poll and survey of proper labeling of meat products. Opinion polls were attended by 462 consumers and analysis of proper labelling was subjected to 489 meat products in select retail chains in Prague. Survey results of labeling of meat products were not very positive, but can be expected to improve, as well as enhancing food safety.

The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to describe food additives in wine and possibilities for their detection. This thesis was prepared at the Institute of postharvest technologies, Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice, on Mendel University in Brno in 2012 - 2014. In the individual chapters food additives, both permitted and prohibited by law, are described. It describes legislation, which regulates viticulture and winemaking, valid in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. Furthermore it describes selected analytical methods used for the detection of additives and inspecting the authenticity of wines.
Utilization of the additives in farm animal nutrition

This thesis deals with the use of additives in livestock nutrition, the distribution of these substances as well as their characteristics. The work is focuses on characteristics of a selected group of zootechnical additives. In this group of substances each specific substance added to feed are presented and it also describes their impact and importance in livestock nutrition.
Consumer perception of additives

The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic "Consumer perception of additives". In the theoretical part are characterized additives, their labeling and legislation. Another part deals with safety and toxicity of additives, where is also described a procedure for assessing the harmless of additives and potential health complications. Also, there is a list of the highest-risk additives and their groups. The theoretical part ends with the chapter dealing with the media and their effect on consumers regarding the additives. In the practical part is done a research regarding consumer awareness, their attitude to additives and habits they have by using a questionnaire survey. The aim of this thesis is to analyze consumer's attitude toward additives, whether he perceives it and if so, then how he perceives it. The goal is also to determine how consumers perceive the additive in terms of health and healthy lifestyles. Analysis of researched data is crucial to draw conclusions and to propose appropriate action in the field of additives.
